From Shore to Sea: Taking Action Against Plastic Pollution

Every piece of plastic removed is one less threat to our oceans.
On 15 August, join KanYini Earth and Clean4Shore for a community beach clean-up across Woy Woy, Ettalong Beach, and Lobster Beach. Together, we'll remove plastic from the shoreline by foot and by boat, helping protect one of the Central Coast's most valuable coastal ecosystems.
Plastic that washes onto these beaches doesn't simply disappear. It breaks down into microplastics that pollute our waterways, threaten marine life, and remain in the environment for generations. Lobster Beach is only accessible by water, making it one of the hardest places to clean. It is also part of the habitat of the threatened Estuary Stingray, alongside seagrass beds that support countless marine species.
On 15 August, KanYini Earth is collaborating with Clean4Shore, a Central Coast organisation restoring local waterways since 2010. In 2025, Clean4Shore and nearly 8,000 volunteers removed more than 672 tonnes of rubbish from Central Coast waterways. Together, we're building on that impact to protect our beaches, waterways, and wildlife.
